Villanova Slips With Loss To South Florida, 74-57

On January 5th on their home court, the Wildcats were beaten by the Bulls, 74-57. Everything seemed steady in the first half, and Villanova went into halftime down 27-25. But South Florida came out of the locker room very strong, and pulled away at the end.

When you look at these teams, the Wildcats were supposed to win this game. The Wildcats usually get a boost playing at home, and the Bulls were cold, having lost 3 out of their last 5. Last season, Villanova went 1-1 against South Florida. The Wildcats have now fallen to 4-2 against the Bulls over the last four years, including a record of 2-1 at The Pavilion.
