Wildcats basketball heats up on Wednesday as the Cardinals host the Wildcats in a Big East contest. Tip-off is at 7:00 EST and you can catch it on ESPN.

Louisville and Villanova are neck and neck in the Big East, holding down 10th and 12th place, respectively. Furthermore, Louisville is ranked #40 in the RPI, and Villanova may struggle considering its 1-6 record against RPI Top 50 teams. Overall, the Wildcats have a record of 10-10 including 3-5 in the Big East. The Cardinals have a record of 15-5 with a 3-4 record in the conference.

Sadly, Louisville is the favorite to win. The Louisville 12-2 record at home does not get canceled out by the Villanova 2-6 road record. Last year, the Wildcats played the Cardinals hard and won 88-74. Over the last four seasons, Villanova is 2-3 against Louisville.
